Granola 1

Making the things you like to eat outside, at home is not as difficult as it may seem. And there is a good enough reason you should do too. You have full control over the quality of ingredients, the freshness and the flavour. Not to mention great hygiene. Very often when I walk down the cereal isle in my supermarket, I am so tempted to pick up these fancily packed granola boxes, ‘cuz it really is one of my most favourite things to have for breakfast, or simply munch on when hungry. Only sometimes I wish there was a little more of some ingredient and a little less of some. And then I said, why don’t I simply make it at home … how tough can it be ?!? Honestly … there’s nothing to it. And once you’ve made a batch you’ll be making it again and again. Sprinkle some over yogurt for breakfast, or perhaps on vanilla ice cream post a meal … or just straight out of the jar. You can always add or subtract any ingredient to suit your taste.

I tried this recipe and everybody LOVED it! Super hit. Just like your blog..
I had a question. How do I make this into bars for a healthy to-go snack?

Kajal

Babe, just increase the quantity of honey / maple syrup, till its sticky enough and press them down on a lined baking tray. Bake till a little crisp and cut into bars.

Hi Kajal! If I don’t like my granola too sweet, can I skip the maple syrup? Or will this make it too bland?

Kajal

Rashi the granola is not very sweet at all. If you skip the sweeteners I’m afraid it might be bland indeed. However you could skip it and if you find it too bland then you could simply drizzle honey only top when you’re eating it. ?
