Hello 2018 ! Wishing this year brings all of you lots of good, nutritious food, a healthy lifestyle, lots of love, balance and all the strength you need, to make your dreams come true. Come January we are deciding to eat healthier, go on diets , start working out and do anything in the book to loose the holiday weight. I have to confess I would be the first one on that train. But you know what, chances are you will falter almost immediately if you haven’t planned yourself out well. I did, I started on 2nd with a healthy breakfast and a super healthy lunch, only to be hungry in an hour and then binged on leftovers from the day before and finished with the cake I made on New Years. haha

I feel …

A. its not easy .

B. you need to be patient.

D. have realistic goals.

E. don’t be unhappy when trying to make it work.

The key is whatever you decide to you, give it your all. And if you fail, don’t give up. Pull your socks up and start again. You will have good days and you will have bad days. But just try to make the good out weigh the bad. Be happy with what you eat. If rice makes you happy, eat Rice. But eat a small portion and eat it in the 1st half of the day. If you just want to eat a salad, make sure its hearty one, and balanced with all the right carbs, fats and protein. Its your body. Listen to it, hear what says, pay attention to what its trying to tell you. Half the battles are won in the head. …. The rest is hard work !

It takes a little getting used to – the flavours and textures, but once you’re on this track, you will love it. These creamy Matcha Popsicles are Vegan, Gluten Free, Plaeo, great on flavour and healthy ! I adore Matcha , and they’re loaded with goodness and so good for you . Make sure you buy some real good quality authentic Japanese Matcha.

The recipe is so simple you’ll be making them again and again. Soaking the cashews overnight helps in breaking down the phytic acid so it can be absorbed properly. Nuts also have high amounts of enzymes inhibitors. This is another reason why un soaked nuts are hard to digest. Soaking nuts can neutralize the enzymes allowing for proper digestion. Also it helps in blending easily and creates a creamy texture when you grind them.

If you’re Vegan use Maple Syrup if not Honey works beautifully. Choose the flavour of your honey carefully as something the wild forest over powering ones, will ride over the matcha flavour. So go for a lighter flavoured honey.

Chilling them overnight or 8 hours is essential. Specially if you’re living in warm climate.


  • 2 cup cashews soaked overnight
  • 300 ml coconut cream
  • 5 tbsp lychee honey / maple syrup
  • 2 tsp pure grade A matcha

For garnish

  • 100 gms dark chocolate
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
  • chopped pistachios


For the popsicles, just throw in all the ingredients together in the blender and blend till you get a very smooth texture. Taste for sweetness and adjust. Pour equally in the moulds and freeze.

For the chocolate drizzle, in a microwave safe bowl, add the chopped chocolate and pour over the oil. Melt in 30 second bursts till fully melted. Quickly drizzle of the un moulded popsicles and top with chopped pistachios. Return back to freezer till ready to eat.
